About the Program
The program provides Racine County citizens the opportunity to plant seedling trees at a minimal price for conservation uses such as wind breaks, woodlots, reforestation and the promotion of wildlife habitat.
This program includes native prairie seed and wildflowers for owners interested in native conservation cover.
Conservation Efforts since 1985
The Racine County Tree Program has been providing landowners with low-cost trees and native seeds to enhance conservation efforts in the county. Since 1985, over 2 million trees have been sold through this program.
The annual program is managed by the Racine County Land & Water Conservation Division staff and volunteers.
