Known also as Norway Pine. Bark becomes divided into large reddish brown plates as it matures, which gives tree its characteristic appearance and its common name, red pine. The seeds are eaten by songbirds and small animals. Grows to 75' with long soft needles. Tolerates sandy soils in sunny conditions. Zones 2-6.
NOTE: Trees arrive in bundles of 25 seedlings that are aprox. 14-18 inches tall. Trees are NOT full-sized upon pick-up. Photos show full-sized examples of the species.
